I don't think many people will see a graphical benefit from this because it seems to only happen during extremely high movement speed, not camera movement. This will set L4D2 to run at high process, which will obviously increase FPS but could overtake normal operating system functions such as mouse polling rate and could result in a slightly less accurate/responsive mouse in return for a more responsive game render. If I remember correctly with my i7, L4D2 doesn't seem to like to use logical cores and will only use physical cores which shouldn't make a difference for your i5 anyways. I think these are commands you need to be careful about suggesting, especially if it can cause people's FPS to drop that dramatically. As well, running these commands and using -threads 16 because I have a 16 thread CPU caused my FPS to drop by 100 on avg in a lot of areas as well as causing some serious hitching. Pretty sure L4D2 already uses as many cores/threads as you have. I don't mean to be rude, but have you tested out these launch options?
